How do I check if my train is delayed?

What causes train delays in Indian Railways?
Common causes of delay: (1) Congested tracks with higher-priority trains (Rajdhani, Vande Bharat) getting priority. (2) Signal failures. (3) Maintenance blocks. Why is my train showing a delay of hundreds of minutes?
A very large delay (200+ minutes) often means the train is running the previous day's schedule and has accumulated delays over its entire route. This is common for trains that run long distances (36+ hours). The train will typically gain time as it progresses.
